Fall Decor 2012

Hey there!  It's taken me a while to get in the "mood" to decorate for fall but last night I finally did it!  My excuse at first was that it wasn't cold enough and that it didn't "feel" like fall yet.  But that ended this week- I woke up this morning to frost on my car and the thermometer on my dash said 34 degrees. Brr!! It's definitely fall.

All Things Manly Birthday Party

This post is late, very late.  But, I promised I would eventually blog about it. Seth's birthday was in March and instead of getting him a gift, I wanted to throw him a stellar party.  I invited lots of friends, family, and the entire BSU of college students at our local university where Seth works. 

It was a blast and probably one of the biggest parties I've had in our little house.  Check out the pictures below for some details from the party.

Faux Barnwood Headboard

This will probabaly be the quicket I've ever posted twice in a row! I wanted to share with you another new project that I am pretty proud of! It turned out better than I expected.  I've been seeing gorgeous barnwood headboards like these on Pinterest for probably almost a year now!

 I'm so excited to finally get a chance to sit down and blog again.  I had a huge project going on at work for about a month that was literally consuming my life; every day and every night I was working on this monster!

Family Mission Statement

Hey there!  Like usual I dropped off the face of the planet and haven't blogged in a while.  But, that doesn't mean I haven't been busy crafting and working on our home!  I just need to post pictures and some comentary of what I've been doing.  Here's a list to give you an idea of all the things my husband and I been working on:

DIY Christmas Decor

Hello friends.

I just wanted to share with you some of my photos from Christmas this year!  It was our first Christmas in the new house and I had so much more space to decorate!

Here is our front room! 

It's Almost Finished

Well my accent chair is almost finished and wasn't a complete fail.  I still have a few finishing touches to add:  buttons to the back of the seat and upholstery tacks around some of the edges to cover up the ugly staples.  But, here it is so far!

New Project

Hey guys!

I just had to create a quick post to show you a sweet find I scored at the thrift store! 

In our new home we have a good size front room that connects with the kitchen.  The front room isn't large enough for an entire living room but would be PERFECT for a small "sitting room".  Right now the front room is a catch all for the furniture that doesn't have a place and for boxes of decorations that have yet to be unpacked.  But I envision it having two accent chairs with a small side table (or my craft dresser) in the middle and maybe a coffee table.  Regardless of how it ends up, I know it will be a great spot for reading, studying the Bible, enjoying morning coffee, or chatting with friends without the distraction of a T.V. in the room.

Well...the move to our new home was successful!  We have almost everything unpacked...except decorations- go figure. So if all goes as planned I should be posting again shortly about some of my projects, and I have A LOT of projects going on/scheduled.
